"Work Flow Actions" are work flow steps that you can program to accomplish specific actions in advance of or after the signing operation for a particular signature or document. In this version only "pre" signature actions and one "post" document action are supported. In future versions "post" signature actions will also be available as well as "pre" document actions. PRONTO™ Server ERSS has several built in standard Work Flow Actions. You may also create your own custom Work Flow Actions. The types of things that might be done in a Work Flow Action are:

  • Explain the process that a user is about to undertake ("pre" signature action).
  • Accomplish any required legal disclosures ("pre" signature action).
  • Collect any required opt-in or opt-out consents ("pre" signature action).
  • Collect data fields to be added to a static document (PDF only - pre" signature action).
  • Let the user preview the document that will be asked to sign ("pre" signature action).
  • Extract data fields entered by users in fillable PDF documents and export those to XML for import into other data repositories (this is a "post" document action).

Below is a screenshot of the standard, "built-in" signature actions and how you call them using ProntoOpenNet. Calling them this way will always prompt the action pre-signature.

For example, selecting the Consumer_Disclosure_PDF_Image type would present the signer with this page just before signing:
