New in version 3.0 is support for Secure Document Delivery. This work process permits the audited delivery of a document, without any signing operations, using secure Web processes. Think of it as an electronic equivalent of an overnight delivery service for documents, except much faster. This work process supports those cases where documents need to be moved to users securely. Email will not meet these requirements as document data is exposed while traveling over the Internet in the clear. Standard email does not use secure data connections.
